We created a class Pobblet thinking about the question ‘What is a superhero?’

For your homework The Phenominal Mind (Mrs C) wants you to blog about your new identity, your name, your powers and what the best bit is about being you!

This week’s Blogging Homework – linked to our history focus I want you to interview someone in your family about the toys they use to play with. The further back in time you travel the better so you can compare the toys you play with these days in contrast to those in the past. As the interviewer ask the following questions and blog your answers here!

Question 1: What sort of toys did you play with?

Question 2: What was your favourite toy and why did you like it?

Question 3: What material was your favourite toy made of?

Question 4: What do you prefer about the toys you played with compared to the toys we have today?

 

 

 

How many synonyms can you think of to describe the snowflake? Remember the challenge – list either 1,2 or 3 synonyms, you can’t repeat a word that has already been used but you can think of an alternative that means the same thing. Good Luck! Mrs C

• In the first 5 seconds, how does the girl feel? How do you know? How old do you think is she?
• How does she feel when she sees the man on the moon? Why does she wave?
• How old do you think the man might he be?
• Do you think the man is lonely? What makes you think this?
• Why do you think the girl writes to the old man rather than Father Christmas (which all the other children will be doing at this time of year)? What does this tell us about the girl’s character?
• From which room in the house does she try and send the letter? Why?
• What type of Christmas does the girl have? How is it different to the old man? Is this similar to your Christmas?
• How does the old man feel? Why does he cry? Is crying always a sad thing?

Imagine being this small.

Can you tell the reader where you would go? What you would do? How did you end up so small?

 

We learnt in class about why the poppy is the symbol of Remembrance Day. Think of words to describe the poppy. Can you write 2 sentences, the first to include 2 adjectives and the second must include an adverb.

Look at the two posters, how do they make you feel? The same, different? Write a sentence to describe your feelings and why.
